Located in the heart of the Lappeenranta city centre, the Lappeenranta Main Library was designed by architect Erkki Pasanen and completed in 1974. The building represents the nationally significant Finnish library architecture style of the 1960s and 1970s and is an integral part of the cityscape.

Crafting a Dialogue Between Heritage and Light for Lappeenranta Main Library
In the library’s vibrant children’s section, our tree-inspired floor lamps function as more than lighting. These wooden structures are a spatial dialogue between linear heritage and the organic needs of curiosity. The branching silhouettes translate nature into a precise architectural language, defining personal pockets of light within the grander volume

The Power of Biophilic Integration in Shared Knowledge Spaces
Integrating wooden luminaires into modern library architecture offers a profound departure from traditional, institutional lighting. Wood surfaces introduce an essential biophilic element that balances cold, industrial materials like cast concrete or glass.
Architecturally, wooden fixtures create visual warmth and anchor large open spaces, softening the overall acoustic and tactile experience of the room. Wood acts as a natural bridge between the built environment and human well-being; its organic textures are proven to lower stress levels, enhance cognitive focus, and foster a serene, welcoming atmosphere. For spaces dedicated to prolonged reading, deep focus, and quiet study, wooden lighting transforms a functional interior into a restorative sanctuary that respects both architectural integrity and the human sensory experience.

Versatility in Form and Function: The Office Tree Station
The Office Tree Station is a sophisticated architectural illumination system tailored specifically for dynamic, multi-functional environments that demand both high-performance direct or indirect lighting and striking aesthetic presence. Designed to elevate open-plan layouts, its commanding silhouette effortlessly commands attention while providing illumination that suits spaces requiring balanced light distribution.
To seamlessly support modern workflows and public connectivity, the luminaire is available in six distinctive design variants. Each configured with an intelligent utility hub integrated directly into the central post, acting as a discrete infrastructure node. Depending on your project's technical specifications, the core can be customized to distribute essential services seamlessly:
Integrated Power Sockets: Providing easily accessible charging points for laptops and personal devices without trailing wires across floor plans.
Ethernet Data Cables: Supplying hardwired, high-speed network connectivity directly to the workspace for secure, uninterrupted data transfer.
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Connections: Ensuring backup power security for critical equipment or digital catalog terminals during sudden power fluctuations.
