The Ballon Pendant Wins A German Design Award
We are extremely proud to announce that our novelty the Ballon Pendant light has received “A Special Mention” in lighting category for “excellent product Design” in German Design Awards 2019.
The Ballon pendant luminaire is a versatile, adjustable and internationally divergent piece of art in every aspect. Steel frames are coated in black or white and adjustable light panels come laminated with oak or walnut veneer or finished in black or white. The steel frame can be coated with 24 Karat gold for more luxurious appearance.

Mikko Kärkkäinen (born 1976 in Finland, Järvenpää) has made an art form out of combining wood with modern technology. He has background both in Design and artisan carpentry and has a long history of using wooden materials creatively.
His designs have received numerous international awards. He has also been recognized as one of the prominent contemporary European Designers in the form of the “Europe 40 under 40” award. “

Mikko has been awarded with the Finnish State Award in Design 2015. The State Award in Design is awarded as a recognition of outstanding work or achievement in design during the past three years.
